One of them is Sifa, an alumni participating in fashion skills training at Rumah Cintara. With enthusiasm and dedication, Sifa succeeded in taking her sewing business from zero to a home-based convection business.
Sifa started her journey by taking free fashion training at Rumah Cintara. With no previous experience in the world of sewing, Sifa saw this as a golden opportunity to learn and develop new skills.
The training provides a solid foundation in fashion design and sewing techniques, which provides an important foundation for the next steps.
“The training is fun, the learning process is easy to understand, the trainers are kind and patient in teaching various kinds of students, so that from there, we who previously had no knowledge at all, can make clothes until they are really finished,” said Sifa.
After completing the training, Sifa decided to start her own business from home. He launched a home brand convection called “Shasee”.
His business started by making custom pillows, a simple but important first step. With the skills he gained from training, Sifa succeeded in creating quality products that began to attract the attention of customers.
Not only that, from sewing training, Sifa decided to expand the reach of her business by making kebaya. This is a big step that shows the ability to apply the skills learned.
As time went by, Shasee became known not only as a place to make kebaya, but also for its clothing alteration services. Sifa’s expertise in making and modifying kebaya attracts many customers, especially during big holidays.
Even though Sifa is independent in her business, she still communicates with her trainer at Rumah Cintara for consultations. This continuous support helps him face various challenges and maintain the quality of the products he produces.
This relationship shows how important mentorship and networks are in supporting business success.
“Thank you to Rumah Cintara for holding sewing training. Thank God, after taking this training I can empower myself,” said Sifa at the end of the meeting.
Sifa’s story is an inspiring example of how skills training can change a person’s life.
